• The Head of Business Operations, Beauty, is an operationally focused leader responsible for driving excellence in the operational delivery of the Beauty portfolio at Dyson. Leading a team of dedicated Business Operations Managers for each Beauty product category, this role ensures seamless execution from product portfolio decisions through to market launch, continual cost reduction initiatives, SKU lifecycle management, and quality improvement. The Head of Business Operations works cross-functionally with Portfolio, NPD, Operations, Demand & Supply Planning, Procurement, Commercial, and CRO teams to deliver against the Beauty Business Unit’s strategic and profit objectives—while ensuring the highest standards in launch excellence, operational performance and cost management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Business Operations team, providing strategic direction, setting clear objectives, and ensuring high performance across all facets of operational delivery in the Beauty Business Unit.
• Partner closely with the Portfolio team to operationalize portfolio and category decisions, ensuring the flawless execution of new product launches and SKU changes in collaboration with NPD and Operations.
• Oversee and drive detailed launch planning up to the Launch Readiness (LR) milestone, collaborating with NPD, Operations, Demand & Supply Planning, and CRO organization to ensure successful on-time, in-full launches.
• Own SKU management and rationalization—defining product offering and attributes for each SKU, managing phase-in/phase-out, approving market SKU requests, and preventing ageing inventory and excess/obsolete stock.
• Monitor and manage inventory health, collaborating with Demand and Supply Planning and regional teams to proactively prevent and resolve issues related to SKU ageing, excess and obsolete materials, and end-of-production planning.
• Champion continuous improvement in product quality and repairability, partnering with Quality, NPD, Operations, and Procurement to deliver cost-effective products while keeping the cost of quality low.
• Drive and challenge for ongoing product cost reduction, using bottom-up approaches (should-cost analysis, competitor tear-downs, cost allowances for innovation), rather than solely relying on price-based cost targets.
• Ensure that the Business Unit is represented on the Product Leadership Team (PLT) of each Delivery Project, actively challenging PLT members to meet ambitious cost, timing, and operational targets.
• Implement best practices in SKU lifecycle management, from introduction and optimization to phase-out, in close alignment with the NPD SKU team and global operations.
• Drive and report on key business operations KPIs, ensuring transparency, accountability, and continuous performance improvement across the team and Beauty Business Unit.

Requirements

• Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience (typically 8+ years) in operations, supply chain, or product-focused business management within consumer products, technology, beauty, or related sectors.
• Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing operational delivery for a complex, multi-category product portfolio.
• Deep expertise in product launch planning, SKU management, inventory control, and lifecycle management.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen; able to challenge on cost, drive repairability improvements, and deliver against demanding operational targets.
• Exceptionally collaborative, with experience influencing at all levels and driving results in a fast-paced, multifunctional environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills; able to identify root causes, drive solutions, and sustain improvements.
• Advanced communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities; able to represent Business Operations on senior project and business teams.
• Experience with cost engineering, competitor analysis, and NPD New Product Development operations is highly desirable.
