Responsibilities

• Working alongside our Identity Analyst department team that serves our customers, employees, and partners across North America and Canada. Collaborating with other Gordon Food Service interns and employees in the following areas:
• Communications
• Finance
• Accounting
• Human Resources
• IT
• Marketing & Merchandising
• Supply Chain
• Sales
• Next-Gen Okta Technology Implementation & Testing: Support the build-out, proof-of-concept testing, and configuration of advanced Okta platform capabilities, including:
• Okta Workflows: Assisting in designing, testing, and documenting automated lifecycle and security event workflows.
• Identity Threat Protection (ITP): Assisting with policy configuration, signal-sharing evaluations, and threat response validation.
• Okta OS Login / Device Access: Supporting endpoint identity integration testing and policy validation.
• Assist in onboarding and migrating enterprise applications to modern SAML 2.0 and OIDC authentication standards, retiring legacy connections.
• Partner with application teams to conduct authentication testing in non-production environments (login-dev.gfs.com) and troubleshoot federation issues.
• Develop clear, end-user and administrator training guides, FAQs, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for newly rolled-out authentication options.
• Document test cases, system runbooks, and troubleshooting steps to assist Tier 1/2 support and application owners.
• Assist with identity health checks, synthetic transaction monitoring, and operational testing (such as Okta Enhanced DR and failover validations).
• Participate in IAM sprint ceremonies, backlog reviews, and deliver a capstone project presentation to EIS leadership at the conclusion of the 12-week program.
• Being an intern at Gordon Food Service, North America's largest family-owned broadline food service distributor and working alongside our department

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Assurance or related fields.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher
