Responsibilities
- The paralegal's main duty is to support the leveraged finance team on a wide range of transactions. Duties will include:
- • Supporting the production of documentation based on precedent forms
- • Assisting with signings and undertaking post-completion tasks
- • Assisting with the drafting of condition precedent documents
- • Researching information using paper and computerised resources
- • General administration, including maintining the team’s e-bible platform
- • Assisting with queries from fee earners
- • Develop effective working relationships with members of the department and other support and legal departments
- • Additional ad hoc duties as and when required
Requirements
- Skills & Experience
- Professional qualifications required for the role if applicable
- • Knowledge of finance transactions
- • Law degree, or equivalent
- • High level of IT literacy
- • MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint experience
- • Excellent research skills
- • The ability to communicate effectively to all levels of staff is required. This applies to all forms of communication: telephone; written; and face-to-face.
- • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
- • Ability to prioritise and manage tasks effectively
- • Strong presentation skills with excellent oral and written communication skills
