- In this role, you will be responsible for sales activities within the shop and serve as the first point of contact for walk-in, email, and telephone customers.
- You will prepare estimates and work orders, follow projects from start to finish, and provide exceptional customer service throughout the process.
Responsibilities
- Greet walk-in customers, identify their needs, and make recommendations
- Estimate projects ranging from business cards, decals, and banners to large-scale projects such as monument signage and illuminated building signs
- Work with customers via email and phone throughout all stages of their projects
- Coordinate with outside resources and vendors when projects need to be outsourced
- Answer incoming phone calls
- Follow up on company lead emails
- Process payments and invoices
- Communicate with customers regarding order status and changes to the production schedule
- Maintain an attractive, clean, organized, and functional retail environment
- Estimate projects and follow them from start to finish while providing exemplary customer service
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Excellent customer service and people skills
- 2–3 years of retail experience, preferably in a sign or fabrication shop
- Strong organizational skills and a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple tasks and projects
- Proficient computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic math skills
