- If you are a forward-thinker interested in a customer focused, warehouse environment, then keep reading! We are searching for one Warehouse & Customer Service Team Lead to join our Regional Service Center (RSC) team at Vantage Elevation.
Responsibilities
- Branch Warehouse Management
- Promote and maintain a safety-first culture, reinforcing safe work practices and established procedures.
- Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to associate on priorities, workload, and workflow.
- Deliver and support outstanding customer service for walk-in, phone, and email customers.
- Coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, and material movement.
- Ensure product availability and maintain a high level of inventory accuracy.
- Support inventory control, MRP, purchasing, and replenishment activities to meet customer and operational needs.
- Verify pricing, order, and purchase order accuracy within the ERP system.
- Coordinate with other Vantage business units and internal partners to resolve order, delivery, inventory, quality, and data issues.
- Support physical inventories, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation activities.
- Help identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities related to safety, customer service, inventory, workflow, and cost.
- Provide hands-on support with warehouse activities as business needs require, including forklift operation when appropriately trained and certified.
- Assist with onboarding, training, and development of team members and reinforce established processes and expectations.
- Escalate employee, customer, safety, quality, or operational concerns to the appropriate manager when additional support is needed.
- Serve as facilities manager. Typical activities may include routine fire extinguisher checks, forklift maintenance, landlord annual inspections and repairs.
- Support other RSC locations or company initiatives as needed, including occasional travel.
- Providing outstanding customer service to customers in-person, over the phone and via email.
- Entering customer orders, searching for existing orders in our system, getting proper documents from the customer and shipping out all orders being pick up.
- Learning part numbers and their functions.
- Establishing and maintaining consistent procedures for customers to receive their orders in a timely manner.
- Maintaining a list of money and checks given provided by customers.
- Scanning all paperwork generated for the day into our system.
- Identifying and resolving customer issues related to product quality, pricing, delivery, usages, and loss.
- Acting as a partner to Vantage manufacturing sites in order to ensure smooth flow of jobs, orders and stock inventory between sites and RSC.
Requirements
- Minimum high school or GED diploma; associate's degree in business, supply chain, logistics, or a related field would be a plus.
- At least 3 years of experience in a warehouse or customer service focused role
- Previous experience working in the elevator industry is a strong asset
- Ability to coordinate work, establish daily priorities, and provide clear direction to others.
- Strong commitment to customer service, safety, accuracy, and operational execution.
- Familiarity with MRP and ERP systems; experience with Infor VISUAL is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively across departments and resolve issues in a timely, professional manner.
- High level of ownership, initiative, reliability, and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Forklift certification or experience is a plus.
- Must have a valid driver’s licence
