• Under the direction of the Transplant Service Line and clinical direction of the Transplant Program Medical & Surgical Directors, the Chief Transplant Coordinator is responsible for the pre-transplant clinical staff, including day-to-day supervision, recruitment, education, and evaluation. Develop policies, procedures, and clinical protocols, and collaborate with the physicians in reviewing and revising care protocols to facilitate optimal care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementation of initiatives set forth by the management of Transplant Services.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the pre-transplant clinical staff, including day-to-day supervision, recruitment, education, and evaluation.
• Develop policies, procedures, and clinical protocols, and collaborate with the physicians in reviewing and revising care protocols to facilitate optimal care.
• Implementation of initiatives set forth by the management of Transplant Services.

Requirements

• · Bachelor’s degree, 5-7 years’ experience clinical transplant experience in a solid Organ Transplant program.
• · Licensure/Certifications Current NYS RN, PA or NP Licensure
• · NP or PA Licensure
• · CCTC – Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator by the American Board for Transplant Certificates or CCTN Certified Clinical Transplant Nurse by the American Board for Transplant Certificates
• · Liver Transplant Experience
