Job description

• We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for experienced General Counsels with strong expertise in technology transactions, contract negotiation, drafting, redlining, and commercial legal review to contribute to an advanced legal AI training and contract-evaluation project.
• Selected professionals will review and assess contract-redlining workflows, perform simulated negotiations, evaluate AI-generated legal responses, and help establish rigorous standards for contract analysis and transactional legal judgement. The opportunity is particularly suited to seasoned in-house lawyers with substantial experience negotiating sophisticated technology agreements.

Responsibilities

• Contract Negotiation & Redlining
• Perform simulated contract negotiations and redlining exercises
• Review proposed revisions for legal, commercial, and operational impact
• Identify contractual risks, ambiguities, and drafting weaknesses
• Refine language for clarity, precision, and enforceability
• Apply practical in-house judgement to realistic negotiation scenarios
• Technology Transactions & Contract Review
• Evaluate agreements commonly used in technology and commercial transactions
• Apply expertise across MSAs, NDAs, ISDAs, DPAs, and related contracts
• Assess risk allocation, obligations, protections, and commercial terms
• Identify provisions requiring clarification, negotiation, or revision
• Apply professional standards developed through in-house legal practice
• AI Contract Evaluation
• Review AI-generated responses to contract and negotiation scenarios
• Assess legal reasoning, drafting quality, and commercial judgement
• Identify inaccurate interpretations, weak redlines, or unsupported conclusions
• Evaluate whether proposed changes appropriately address contractual risk
• Provide structured expert feedback supporting model improvement
• Evaluation Frameworks & Grading
• Develop objective evaluation frameworks for contract-related tasks
• Define criteria covering drafting quality, negotiation judgement, risk identification, and legal reasoning
• Establish consistent standards for assessing AI-generated legal work
• Document why specific responses are strong, incomplete, or incorrect
• Support repeatable and rigorous contract-evaluation workflows
• Legal Collaboration & Quality
• Collaborate with product, research, and technical teams on contract-review initiatives
• Translate legal expertise into clear and actionable feedback
• Help refine legal datasets, guidelines, and review standards
• Communicate complex transactional concepts across multidisciplinary teams
• Contribute to evolving best practices for AI-assisted contract analysis

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of in-house legal experience
• Strong focus on technology transactions and commercial contracting
• Demonstrated experience negotiating MSAs, NDAs, ISDAs, and DPAs
• Strong contract-drafting, negotiation, and redlining skills
• Experience identifying and managing legal and commercial contract risk
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical judgement
• Ability to translate legal expertise into structured evaluation feedback
• Comfortable working with cross-disciplinary teams in fast-paced environments
• Strong practical understanding of in-house legal decision-making
• Interest in the intersection of law, technology, and AI
• Prior exposure to AI, legal technology, or related training initiatives is advantageous but not required
