• Title: Senior Software Engineer, Lifecycle Management
• We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to work on our Onboarding and Lifecycle Management (LCM) Platform team with focus on enhancing and managing services for importing, syncing and provisioning identities and access policies i.e., users, groups, roles, entitlements, etc. These features allow customers the flexibility to link and enhance their business processes with Okta’s identity management product. This role is to build, design solutions, and maintain our platform for scale.
• The ideal candidate will be naturally curious and has experience building software systems to manage and deploy reliable and performant infrastructure and product code at scale on a cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Work with senior engineering team in major development projects, design and implementation
• Conduct code reviews, analysis and performance tuning
• Work with QA team to outline and implement comprehensive test coverage for broad features
• Provide support and handle incoming bugs and customer reported issues
• Interface with cross-functional teams (Architects, QA, Product, Technical Support, Documentation, and UX teams) to develop connectors to on-prem and cloud apps
• Partner with our Product Development, QA, and Site Reliability Engineering teams for scoping the development and deployment work
• Design and implement core, high-performance, scalable software components
• Quick prototyping to validate scale and performance.
• Conduct code reviews, analysis and performance tuning
• Troubleshooting and support for customer issues and debugging from logs (Splunk, Syslogs, etc.)

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience building highly-reliable, mission- critical software
• Experience with object-oriented languages, e.g. Java
• Experience with data stores, e.g. relational databases
• Experience with one or more of the following Directory services: Active Directory, LDAP
• Experience with RESTful APIs
• Ability to debug
• Experience working with a system of scale
• B.S. Computer Science or related field

• Experience with server-side technologies including caching, asynchronous processing, and multi-threading
• Experience in TDD
• Knowledge of Identity and Access Management protocols and technologies: OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, SCIM
• Microsoft Azure management APIs, ADFS, Office 365 or Microsoft’s Directory Synchronization Tool , Active Directory
