Job description

• House of Raeford Farms is seeking an experienced Plant Controller to oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, inventory control, and production reporting at our Hemingway Division. This position works closely with Operations Management and Corporate Finance to ensure accurate financial records, effective internal controls, and efficient plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and payroll-related accounting activities.
• Prepare daily production reports and provide accurate production data to Operations Management.
• Reconcile finished goods inventory daily and maintain accurate inventory records in D365.
• Ensure accurate processing of vendor invoices, customer invoicing, and financial transactions.
• Prepare month-end journal entries and financial reports for Corporate Finance.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and financial planning.
• Maintain internal financial controls and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Lead, train, and supervise Accounting Department employees.
• Work closely with Production, Shipping, Purchasing, and other departments to resolve financial and inventory discrepancies.

Requirements

• Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and inventory accounting.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting or plant finance experience preferred.
• Previous supervisory or accounting management experience preferred.
• Manufacturing, food production, or poultry industry experience preferred.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
