Job description
- As a Seasonal Logistics Team Member, you will embody Thistle Farms core values of radical hospitality and quality matters as you carefully, efficiently and accurately pick, pack and deliver Thistle Farms hand-made products and Shared Trade items. When a customer and supporter opens a delivery from Thistle Farms, your effort and contribution will be the first impression of our Organization and our mission.
Responsibilities
- Pick, pack and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Verify items against customer order to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure requested delivery method is selected, labels are printed and packaging is appropriate.
- Exhibit problem-solving to determine how to best package and ship items.
- Package products securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Ensure your proper box and filler are used depending on item(s) and weight.
- Follow best practices as communicated verbally as well as in documented SOPs.
- Effectively use inventory management software and hardware.
- Work with the Logistics Manager to elevate shipping issues and work, collectively, on timely resolutions.
- Report damaged goods, shortages or discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, including SOPs and safety guidelines
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn inventory management software and shipping systems
- Problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot packing, shipping, and order discrepancies
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team
- Flexibility and willingness to learn new tasks and support cross-functional work as needed
