Job description

• Global X ETFs is seeking an ETF Research Analyst to support research and content development across commodities, fixed income, and options-based strategies. This generalist role reports to and works directly with the VP, Director of Options & Income Research, contributing to market analysis, investment research, and educational materials supporting the firm's ETF lineup.
• The ETF Research Analyst will take ownership of assigned research projects and recurring deliverables, with direction and review from the VP. The role requires strong analytical and writing skills, an interest in developing expertise across the three coverage areas, and the ability to translate complex investment concepts into clear insights for internal teams, clients, and prospects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fundamental and quantitative research across commodities, fixed income, and options-based strategies to support the research priorities established by the VP.
• Monitor and synthesize market news, economic data, and investment research, including commodity supply and demand, interest rates and credit conditions, and volatility and derivatives activity.
• Create and maintain research articles, market commentary, data visualizations, presentations, and other educational content for the firm's research library and distribution efforts, incorporating feedback from the VP.
• Analyze ETF exposures, strategy mechanics, performance drivers, and risk/return tradeoffs, including the roles of commodity exposure, fixed income allocations, and options-based strategies in diversified portfolios.
• Maintain research datasets, analytical tools, and recurring reports; verify calculations and source data to support accurate, well-substantiated research and timely updates.
• Develop a strong understanding of ETF structure, mechanics, liquidity, and the competitive landscape, and explain these concepts clearly in research and educational materials.
• Support responses to client and internal inquiries about fund methodologies, performance attribution, underlying exposures, and market developments, coordinating with the VP and relevant teams.
• Collaborate with Product, Distribution, and Marketing on research supporting existing ETFs, competitive positioning, and potential new product opportunities.
• Prepare materials and contribute to client meetings, webinars, and presentations under the VP's guidance, adapting explanations to audiences with varying levels of investment knowledge.
• Manage regular and ad hoc research assignments, communicate progress and potential issues promptly, and meet agreed deadlines while upholding Global X's standards of collaboration and integrity.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of relevant experience in asset management, investment research, investment strategy, sales and trading, product research, or a related financial services role.
• A foundation in financial markets and investment analysis, with experience in one or more of commodities, fixed income, or options-based strategies preferred and a willingness to build knowledge across all three.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise research and presentations for different audiences.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret financial and economic data, validate findings, and develop effective data visualizations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; familiarity with Bloomberg or other financial data platforms is a plus.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to balance recurring responsibilities and ad hoc requests, take initiative, and follow assignments through to completion.
• A collaborative approach, receptiveness to feedback, and a commitment to continuously expanding technical knowledge and subject-matter expertise.
• Progress toward, or an intention to pursue, the CFA designation is preferred but not required.
