• We are currently seeking a detail-oriented, creative, and highly organized Marketing Specialist to join our team. The Marketing Specialist will support the planning, execution, and tracking of marketing initiatives that strengthen PastryStar’s brand, promote our clean-label bakery and pastry ingredients, generate qualified leads, and support the sales team. This role is responsible for creating engaging content, maintaining digital marketing channels, supporting product launches, coordinating catalog and website updates, assisting with tradeshows and customer-facing events, and helping communicate PastryStar’s value to both prospective and current customers.
• The ideal candidate is a strong writer and communicator with experience in digital marketing, content creation, social media, email marketing, SEO, marketing automation, and campaign support. This person should be comfortable working cross-functionally with Sales, R&D, Customer Service, leadership, external vendors, and other departments to ensure marketing materials are accurate, professional, timely, and aligned with PastryStar’s brand.

Responsibilities

• Develop, edit, and publish marketing content that promotes PastryStar’s products, brand story, clean-label ingredients, and value proposition.
• Create content for blogs, newsletters, email campaigns, product highlights, customer communications, social media, and sales-support materials.
• Maintain and update website content, including product pages, landing pages, images, application ideas, and marketing copy.
• Support SEO, digital advertising, email marketing, marketing automation, and lead-generation campaigns.
• Manage PastryStar’s social media presence by creating posts, scheduling content, monitoring engagement, and identifying opportunities to grow brand awareness.
• Work with the sales team to create flyers, brochures, presentations, product sheets, email templates, and customer follow-up materials.
• Coordinate updates to digital and printed catalogs, including product descriptions, images, specifications, and layout review.
• Collaborate with Sales, R&D, Customer Service, leadership, vendors, and outside partners to ensure marketing materials are accurate, professional, and on brand.
• Assist with product photography, image organization, and visual assets for the website, catalog, social media, and promotional materials.
• Help plan and support tradeshows, customer events, product demonstrations, and industry events, including booth materials, samples, signage, promotional items, and lead tracking.
• Track marketing project timelines, campaign results, website traffic, email engagement, social media activity, lead generation, and advertising performance.
• Prepare reports, summaries, and recommendations based on campaign performance and customer engagement trends.
• Maintain organized marketing files, brand assets, product images, campaign records, vendor information, calendars, and project documentation.
• Ensure all customer-facing materials are accurate, consistent with PastryStar branding, and aligned with company standards for quality and professionalism.
• Support internal communications, customer inquiries, marketing-related requests, special projects, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and communication skills, with the ability to create clear and engaging marketing content.
• Excellent attention to detail when reviewing product information, website content, catalogs, and customer-facing materials.
• Creative and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of digital marketing, including SEO, email marketing, social media, website content, lead generation, and campaign tracking.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with Sales, R&D, Customer Service, leadership, vendors, and outside partners.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with social media platforms, email marketing tools, CRM systems, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Canva, or Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
• Ability to review basic marketing data, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
• Professional judgment, confidentiality, and strong interpersonal skills when communicating with employees, customers, vendors, and industry contacts.
• Ability to learn PastryStar’s product lines, clean-label ingredients, customer base, and brand positioning.
• Willingness to travel as needed for tradeshows, customer events, vendor meetings, or other company-related marketing activities.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to support company goals and assist with other duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, Digital Media, or a related field required; equivalent related experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 2–4 years of marketing experience preferred, ideally in food manufacturing, bakery, pastry, foodservice, B2B marketing, consumer packaged goods, or a related industry.
• Experience creating marketing content, managing social media, supporting campaigns, updating websites, assisting with tradeshows, and coordinating marketing projects preferred.
• Experience working with sales teams, product teams, vendors, or cross-functional departments is preferred.
• Experience with product catalogs, product sheets, brochures, newsletters, website updates, or customer-facing marketing materials is a plus.
• Photography, video content, recipe content, product demonstration support, or food-related marketing experience is a plus.
