Governance Business Analyst at Guidehouse in US - AL, Huntsville

Responsibilities

• We are seeking a highly skilled Governance Business Analyst to support a premier law enforcement agency. This role plays a critical part in driving the client's internal IT Business Intelligence (ITBI) communications and elevating data storytelling across the organization. Specifically, the governance business analyst would be responsible for:
• Conducting analysis across the client's technology ecosystem to identify trends, risks, dependencies, and data quality issues; supports KPI development, data validation, and BI insight generation.
• Supporting Integrated Governance efforts; maps end to end processes and technology relationships, standardizes artifacts and templates, and recommends improvements to enhance consistency and governance workflows.
• Developing executive ready presentations, visualizations, white papers, and briefing materials; ensures dashboards and BI outputs are polished, clear, and leadership focused.
• Coordinating with stakeholders to translate needs into BI solutions, supports the development, collections, and communication of large-scale data calls, and ensures reporting and analytics meet customer requirements.
• Synthesizes complex technical and business information into clear recommendations using strong analytical writing, critical thinking, visualization skills, and PowerPoint expertise.

Requirements

• An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "TOP SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance/
• Associate's degree required or eight years of overall experience may be substituted in lieu of experience.
• Five (5)+ years of overall work experience.
• Experience with integrated governance efforts, mapping and workflows.
• Experience conducting analysis, dashboarding and analytical writing.
• Strong writer who also creates narrative driven visuals and executive reporting materials
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience in PowerPoint development, executive‑level presentations, and drafting clear, concise briefs and written communications.
• Understanding of PowerApps and PowerBI functions and use cases.
