We’re looking for an engineer with expertise in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) theory and implementation, specifically in the area of electronic warfare (EW) signals.

We’ll look to you to share your electrical engineering expertise through leadership and mentoring junior staff. Responsibilities

• Use electrical engineering expertise to tackle complex DoD challenges, from electronic warfare to improving geolocation and PNT resiliency
• Share electrical engineering expertise through leadership and mentoring junior staff
• Use experience-based knowledge in digital signal processing and PNT to further the mission of military clients

Requirements

• Experience with digital signal processing, RF engineering, or precise time synchronization
• Experience designing and conducting experiments using radio-frequency devices and instrumentation
• Experience with software development in a Linux-based development environment
• Experience with Python and C programming and GitHub repository management
• Ability to identify and develop innovative solutions to challenging technical problems in the absence of specific requirements
• Ability to work in small teams with minimal supervision
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of experience with electronic warfare RF and DSP design, Master’s degree and 5+ years of experience with electronic warfare RF and DSP design, or Doctorate degree and 1+ years of experience with electronic warfare RF and DSP design
• Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
• Experience with VHDL design for Software Defined Radios
• Experience with VHDL or Verilog design for FPGAs
• Experience with Electronic Warfare (EW)
• Experience with phased array or electronically steerable antennas
• Experience building software interfaces to hardware
• Experience with PNT sensors
• Experience as a microcontroller targeting ARM, ESP32, and Arduino
• Knowledge of Kalman filtering or other optimization methods
• Ability to write and present complex engineering ideas to non-engineers clearly
• TS/SCI clearance

• Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
