Responsibilities

• Use skills in analyzing security log data and threat information to collect, assess, and produce actionable intelligence that supports routine cyber operations and incident handling
• Support and contribute to monitoring threat activity, identifying network anomalies, and researching routine security issues
• Apply cutting-edge technologies to enhance ability to process metadata and content for discovery
• Develop skills in creating intelligence products that strengthen the organization’s cyber defense posture

Requirements

• Experience analyzing cybersecurity risks, participating in hands-on academic lab environments, or completing cybersecurity internships
• Knowledge of threat monitoring technology, SIEM concepts, and basic networking principles such as TCP/IP, subnets, and standard ports
• Ability to research routine technical issues, learn new security tools under direct supervision, and document findings clearly
• Ability to provide a 1-2 page briefing that does not contain confidential information, showcasing a real‑world application of cyber skills or work
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or Computer Science
• Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
• Experience with scripting or querying languages such as Python, Bash, or SQL used to process or analyze security logs
• Knowledge of common security frameworks such as the MITRE ATT&CK framework or NIST Special Publications
• Ability to collaborate effectively in team-based environments to escalate and resolve routine technical issues
• Top Secret clearance
• Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field
• CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or Network+ Certification

• Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $53,000.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
