Job description

• Oversees the development and implementation of iSeries applications while serving as a resource to others to resolve complex IT issues.

Responsibilities

• ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Plans, develops, codes, tests, modifies, debugs, and implements applications and systems throughout the Company.
• Prepares detailed specifications and performs programming, testing, conversion, and implementation planning.
• Codes in various languages and technical platforms based on program specifications.
• Analyzes existing programs and recommends changes in development, maintenance, or system standards.
• Designs complex functionality within applications and provides multifaceted solutions.
• Documents requirements in order to translate information into technical specifications.
• Develops testing plans to ensure effective functionality.
• Provides guidance to team members on complicated assignments and mentors on new technologies.
• Administers training for users during system implementation as needed.
• Receives and carries out instructions.
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance.

Requirements

• * Uses computers and software programs proficiently, including iSeries AS400.
• * Demonstrates proficiencies with programming languages including RPG, RPG-ILE, SQL, CL, and DB2 Database.
• * Exhibits ability to read, write, talk, and hear; add, subtract, multiply, and divide; and lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. as required.
• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or eight to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
