Job description

• We have a new opportunity in our Finance team for a Credit Controller to join us on a hybrid basis out of our Cambridge office, with the expectation of attending a minimum of two days a week.
• As a Credit Controller you will own an effective and professional credit control process for a designated portfolio, driving cash collection and reducing aged debt across a rapidly expanding, world-class company. You'll work within the credit control team and alongside finance, sales and operational colleagues globally — protecting good credit control outcomes while keeping customer relationships strong.
• No two days are the same, and you'll be balancing multiple priorities at once, so strong communication, superb time management and excellent attention to detail are key.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring cash collection of outstanding balances within your allocated portfolio and working towards monthly collection targets,
• Following our credit control procedures — issuing customer statements and dunning letters, contacting customers by telephone using the correct protocol, and following the internal escalation process where needed,
• Answering customer queries and ensuring a timely, professional response,
• Allocating customer payments and maintaining the debtors spreadsheet,
• Establishing and maintaining effective lines of communication with sales and technical teams globally,
• Supporting the wider finance team on projects to improve cash collection, plus ad-hoc tasks as required.

Requirements

• Darktrace warmly welcomes applications from candidates with previous credit control experience, or translatable customer service experience, and who are educated to A level or equivalent. You'll bring excellent numeracy and administrative skills, and be confident addressing and escalating matters with colleagues to resolve underlying issues.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word and Microsoft Outlook,
• A highly organised approach, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and work unsupervised,
• An excellent telephone manner and effective communication skills,
• A helpful, flexible and pro-active attitude — a team player who is happy to tackle both new and routine tasks.
• Prior Workday experience is desirable, but not essential.
