- The Front Desk & Security Operations Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for all employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors entering USP facilities. This role combines front desk reception responsibilities with building security coordination to ensure a safe, secure, and welcoming environment. The position monitors facility access, supports security operations, oversees the performance of contracted security guard services, and responds to security and safety concerns. The incumbent works closely with Facilities, Operations, and external security providers to protect people, property, and organizational assets while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities
- The Front Desk & Security Operations Coordinator has the following responsibilities:
- Monitor and control access to the facility.
- Verify identification and issue visitor badges.
- Conduct scheduled interior and exterior security patrols.
- Monitor CCTV, alarms, and other security systems.
- Respond to security incidents, safety concerns, and emergencies.
- Assist with fire alarms, evacuations, medical emergencies, and shelter-in-place.
- Investigate and document incidents, accidents, and unusual activities.
- Complete detailed reports and maintain security logs.
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and site security requirements.
- Report on maintenance, safety, and security issues to Facilities safety and Security Manager.
- Provide professional assistance and excellent customer service to employees and visitors.
- Coordinate with law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency response personnel when required.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Supervise contracted security guards including Frederick site.
- Communicate emergency notifications to USP staffs through Mass Notification system portal.
- Monitor inclement weather forecasting and communicate in Mass Notification system.
Requirements

- High School Diploma or GED (minimum).
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience, including oversight of security personnel, contract security services, or facility operations.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in security, front desk, reception, access control, or customer service experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience monitoring security systems, including CCTV, access control, alarms, and visitor management platforms.
- Security Guard License (if required by state regulations).
- CPR/First Aid Certification.
- Emergency Response or Incident Management Training.
- Must be at least 21 yrs. Old.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Must be able to multitask.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft office products and be able to operate and maintain site specific security programs.
