Job description

• The Senior Analyst, Revenue Strategy and Analysis sits at the intersection of technical analysis and revenue management strategy. This role turns the output of our revenue forecast model and/or additional reporting into specific, actionable initiatives across departments, booking channels, products, and destinations and makes sure the business always knows where we stand and how we are tracking.
• This is a high-visibility, high-impact position with direct influence on the company's revenue standing. The Senior Analyst partners across Revenue Management and the wider commercial organization to move the team toward a proactive approach to revenue management: surfacing underperforming products early, identifying the levers available to correct them, and guiding the conversations where those decisions get made.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Initiative Identification: Use the revenue forecast model to identify where performance is off track and where opportunity exists — by department, booking channel, product, ship, and destination. Translate those findings into concrete initiatives with a clear commercial rationale.
• Model Integrity and Maintenance: Own the ongoing accuracy of the revenue forecast model. Validate inputs and outputs on the weekly cycle, investigate variances, reconcile against source data, and flag and resolve issues before they reach the business.
• Commercial Meeting Preparation: Build the material that guides commercial meetings — bringing awareness to underperforming products and framing the potential levers that could be used as interventions. Prepare a clear point of view, not just a data pull.
• Performance Visibility and Tracking: Ensure the business has a consistent, trusted view of where we stand and how we are tracking at all times. Maintain the recurring reporting rhythm and make the numbers easy for non-technical audiences to act on.
• Recommendations and Levers: Go beyond describing what happened. Recommend specific actions to improve performance, size the expected impact, and follow up on whether the intervention worked.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as the analytical counterpart for partners across the organization — including Revenue Management, Marketing, Ecommerce, Deployment, and Finance — building the working relationships needed to pressure-test findings and drive initiatives to execution.
• Analytical Agenda Ownership: Set the analytical priorities for assigned areas of the business — deciding what is worth investigating, sequencing the work, and bringing findings forward proactively.
• Channel and Market Performance: Own performance visibility across booking channels and source markets, including international, identifying where mix, pricing, or demand is diverging from plan and what can be done about it by partnering with subject matter experts.
• Measurement Standards: Define and maintain the metric definitions, benchmarks, and reporting standards the commercial organization uses to judge performance, so partners are working from one consistent view.
• Initiative Ownership End to End: Carry initiatives from identification through recommendation, execution support, and post-implementation review by partnering with subject matter experts for deep dive analyses — closing the loop on whether the lever delivered.
• Ad Hoc Analysis: Respond quickly to targeted questions on specific voyages, itineraries, channels, or market shifts, delivering a clear answer and recommendation under tight timelines.
• Data Quality and Documentation: Maintain rigorous quality control across analytical assets, and document logic, definitions, and assumptions so the work is repeatable and transferable.

Requirements

• FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in commercial or pricing analytics, revenue management, corporate strategy, or financial analysis, with demonstrated growth in scope and responsibility.
• Industry Context: Experience in cruise, airline, hospitality, or another capacity-constrained pricing environment is strongly preferred. Familiarity with metrics such as occupancy, load factor, net per diem, and APCD, and with international or channel-level performance analysis, is a significant advantage.
• Demonstrated Impact: Track record of analysis that led to a decision or a change in how the business operated — not analysis that stopped at the report
• SQL: Working knowledge of SQL, with the ability to query relational databases to pull, join, and validate data, and the appetite to build toward full independence quickly.
• Excel: Advanced proficiency, including building and maintaining multi-sheet models, and structuring work so others can follow the logic.
• PowerPoint and Storytelling: Able to build a clean, persuasive deck that leads with the answer, makes the commercial implication obvious, and holds up to questioning.
• Communication and Presentation: Comfortable presenting to senior and cross-functional audiences, explaining technical work in plain language, and defending a recommendation.
• BI and Reporting Tools: Hands-on experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, or a comparable platform, and structuring them so business partners can self-serve.
• Business Judgment: Curiosity about why the numbers moved and the instinct to ask the next question rather than stop at the first finding.
• Attention to Detail: Uncompromising commitment to accuracy — this role's output is trusted and acted on, so errors carry real cost.
• Self-Direction: Able to navigate ambiguity, prioritize competing requests, and move work forward without detailed instruction.
• Preferred: Exposure to Snowflake. Databricks, or a similar cloud data warehouse; Python or R for analysis is a plus, not a requirement.
