• The opportunity
• Own the strategy and growth of our market-leading UK and Ireland Energy portfolio across Ultrasonic, Advanced Bipolar and capital portfolios. You will set portfolio priorities, lead launches and lifecycle activity, enable the sales organisation and turn customer and market insight into strong commercial execution.
• This is a highly visible role at the centre of the Surgery business, with direct exposure to UK leadership and regular collaboration with regional and global partners. Your objective will be to deliver profitable, above-market growth while improving access to optimal surgical interventions in an environmentally and commercially sustainable way.

Responsibilities

• Your remit
• Energy portfolio strategy: own the UK and Ireland strategy and annual business plan across Ultrasonic, Advanced Bipolar and capital portfolios, with clear choices on customers, priority specialties including Gynaecology, investment and measures of success.
• Gynaecology specialty leadership: develop and lead the UK Gynaecology strategy, identifying priority procedures, customers and growth opportunities, building strong clinical and society partnerships, and translating specialty insight into focused commercial, education and portfolio plans.
• Commercial growth: drive earn-share, competitor conversion, upgrades, market expansion and new-product adoption through relevant value propositions and focused field execution.
• Launch and lifecycle leadership: lead end-to-end launch planning and manage the full portfolio lifecycle, including growth, optimisation, rationalisation and obsolescence.
• What you will do
• Build and execute an insight-led Energy portfolio strategy, using customer, procedural, competitive and financial data to prioritise investment, shape earn-share and competitor-conversion plans, and drive action across priority specialties and accounts, including Gynaecology.
• Own portfolio performance reviews and turn insight into clear actions for Sales, Marketing and Commercial Education teams.
• Lead launches using Launch Excellence principles and manage the full product lifecycle, coordinating segmentation, value propositions, channels, field tools, cross-functional readiness, upgrades, rationalisation and obsolescence planning.
• Own the ongoing commercial development of Dualto, including capital, service and associated portfolio opportunities.
• Lead budget planning, forecasting, inventory input, pricing and tender strategy in partnership with Finance, Supply Chain and other relevant teams.
• Build trusted relationships with customers, key opinion leaders, surgical societies and industry bodies, using structured insight, evidence-led advocacy, education and targeted engagement to shape the market and support adoption.
• Set a clear marketing direction for the Energy sales organisation and equip field teams with effective training, evidence, messaging, tools and competitive responses.
• Act as the principal UK marketing contact for Energy, connecting local priorities with regional and global strategy and ensuring market requirements are represented.

Requirements

• What you will bring
• A strong record of performance in marketing, product management, sales or a related commercial role.
• Experience of developing strategy and converting it into disciplined commercial execution.
• Experience in medical devices, healthcare or another regulated environment; exposure to Energy, capital equipment or service models would be advantageous.
• Understanding of the UK healthcare environment, its key stakeholders and commercial processes.
• Experience of new-product introduction, lifecycle management, competitor analysis and customer segmentation.
• Strong analytical and financial capability, with confidence using data to make decisions and prioritise resources.
• Clear communication and the ability to engage different audiences, build commitment and influence without formal authority.
• Curiosity, learning agility and the motivation to build deep clinical, procedural and product knowledge.
• Strong prioritisation, organisation and judgement in a fast-paced environment.
• A collaborative, inclusive approach and a high standard of integrity and compliance.
