• Senior Marketing & Communications Strategist. Odyssey is seeking an experienced Senior Marketing & Communications Strategist to develop and execute integrated marketing communications across social media, content, brand, digital, creative, events, and corporate initiatives. This is a senior individual contributor role for a versatile marketer who can independently move projects from strategy and concept through writing, design, execution, and performance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Graphic Design and Creative Support
• Develop graphics and visual content for social media, internal communications, events, recruiting, and other corporate marketing initiatives.
• Collaborate with the multimedia team on larger design projects, event materials, campaigns, and branded collateral.
• Translate written, technical, or complex information into clear and engaging visual formats.
• Apply brand standards consistently across materials and help maintain a cohesive visual identity.
• Content and Social Media
• Develop, write, edit, and schedule social media content that supports brand awareness, recruiting, business development, and corporate priorities.
• Draft event content, employee spotlights, community engagement stories, corporate announcements, and other marketing communications.
• Adapt messaging and tone for different audiences, platforms, and communications objectives.
• Monitor content and social media performance and translate results into recommendations for future efforts.
• Identify opportunities for relevant and engaging content across the organization.
• Presentations and Slides
• Develop and refine slide decks for leadership, conferences, capability briefings, business development efforts, and internal meetings.
• Convert technical, written, and data-driven content into clear, polished, and visually compelling presentations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to strengthen messaging, organization, and visual storytelling.
• SEO and Website
• Contribute to the development and implementation of SEO strategy, including keyword research, on-page optimization, content recommendations, and performance analysis.
• Support website updates, page builds, and content refreshes in collaboration with the multimedia team.
• Develop and edit website content with consideration for audience, brand, search performance, and business objectives.
• Monitor website and search performance, identify trends, and recommend opportunities for improvement.
• General Marketing Support
• Support conference and trade show planning and execution, including booth materials, collateral, promotional content, swag, and related communications.
• Contribute to integrated marketing campaigns supporting corporate, recruiting, and business development priorities.
• Help maintain marketing calendars, content schedules, asset libraries, templates, and project trackers.
• Contribute ideas and recommendations during campaign planning, content development, and creative brainstorming.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities while coordinating with internal stakeholders across the organization.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve marketing content, processes, and communications.

Requirements

• Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
• Clearance : none required
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, content, design, digital marketing, or a related discipline.

• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and channels.
• Demonstrated graphic design capabilities and working proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, or comparable design tools.
• Experience developing content for social media and familiarity with LinkedIn as a business and marketing platform.
• Experience developing presentations and translating complex information into clear, visually engaging materials.
• Working knowledge of digital marketing, content strategy, and SEO principles.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing polished, accurate, and brand-aligned work.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and move projects forward with limited oversight.
• Strong collaboration skills and comfort working with leaders, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams.
• Ability and willingness to work across multiple marketing disciplines based on team and business needs.
• Experience with SEO and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Semrush, or similar.
• Experience with a CMS such as WordPress.
• Video editing, photography, animation, or motion graphics experience.
• Email marketing or marketing automation experience.
• Experience supporting conferences, trade shows, events, or integrated marketing campaigns.
• Experience developing executive, technical, or thought-leadership content.
• Experience in or exposure to the defense, aerospace, government contracting, federal technology, or another technical B2B industry.
