Job description

• As an Operations Manager, you will lead a team of approximately 20 employees supporting Collins Aerospace aftermarket repair operations. You will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of operations, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, customer service, and financial objectives are achieved.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and motivate a team of approximately 20 employees, establishing clear expectations and fostering a culture of accountability, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily operations to meet turnaround time (TAT), customer service, delivery, and sales objectives.
• Manage the administrative, operational, financial, technical, and contractual aspects of assigned programs and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, Finance, and Customer Service, to resolve issues and ensure timely completion of work.
• Monitor operational performance, identify constraints and opportunities, and implement corrective actions to improve productivity, quality, delivery, and customer satisfaction.
• Lead cost-reduction and process-improvement initiatives utilizing Lean/continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ensure employees are properly trained and qualified to perform work in accordance with FAA-acceptable work instructions, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Ensure adequate staffing and resources are available to properly handle, protect, segregate, and preserve parts throughout the repair process.
• Use operational and business systems, including SAP or equivalent enterprise systems, to monitor performance, manage resources, and support data-driven decision making.

Requirements

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
• Experience in production, operations or manufacturing in supervisory role.
• Experience in aerospace MRO, component repair, overhaul, or aftermarket operations.
• Experience managing operations against turnaround time (TAT), on-time delivery, customer service, quality, and financial targets.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and resolving operational issues in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
• Experience using SAP or equivalent enterprise systems.
• Lean manufacturing/continuous improvement experience.

• The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
• Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
