Job description

• The Engineering Finance organization is seeking a P3 Financial Analyst to support Test Solutions (TS) within the Hardware Engineering Discipline. This role provides financial planning, analysis, and decision support to Engineering leaders and partners across the TS Center. The selected candidate will support monthly forecasting, budget cycles, labor management, and cost analysis activities. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly OH variance analysis, and reporting for the Test Solutions Center
• Develop and maintain monthly forecasts, and Annual Operating Plan inputs for OH categories
• Partner with Engineering leadership to manage cost performance, identify risks/opportunities, and ensure alignment with organizational priorities
• Provide routine and ad‑hoc financial reporting to highlight trends, drivers, and actionable insights
• Support labor planning, rate impacts, resource management, and Engineering investment analysis
• Maintain strong financial controls and compliance with corporate policies
• Support quarterly Pool EAC reporting while delivering timely, data‑driven insights for Pool owners
• Drive reporting improvements and support digital finance initiatives

Requirements

• Typically requires a University Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
• Working experience with MS Office tools including Excel
• Experience supporting Engineering or other Functional organizations
• Familiarity with program finance, EVMS concepts, and engineering labor planning
• Ability to interpret technical/operational data and connect it to financial impacts
• Strong analytical and modeling skills; proficiency in Excel and financial systems
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication and partnering skills
• Demonstrated initiative and problem‑solving ability

• The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
• Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
