• Raytheon is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) to work within the Electro-Optical Infrared (EO/IR) Solutions Sub-Business Unit in the Raytheon Advanced Products & Solutions (APS) Strategic Business Unit. In this role, you will bridge the Supply Chain and Program teams and manage materials provided by suppliers on the Pods Product Supply Chain Team. The MPM is responsible for executing the strategies and objectives of the product line to meet cost, quality, and scheduled targets for the program and business unit, ensuring that products are delivered on time to the end customer.
• Our supplier network spans small to large businesses, IOT (Interorganizational) partners, and major subcontractors that manufacture high-level assemblies, a range of commodities, and materials varying in complexity. In this position, you will collaborate and communicate with Program Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, various departments within the Factory organization, Contracts, Customers, and other support functions to ensure rapidly shifting production requirements, material challenges, and competing priorities are successfully executed.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the relationship with Raytheon sub-tier supplier(s) in conjunction with the acquisition professional.
• Coordinate program needs with Engineering, Program Operations, Production Control, and Scheduling.
• Serve as a liaison between suppliers, internal supply chain, engineering, and program management to ensure supplier health and resolve technical or delivery concerns.
• Influence and build strong partnerships across multiple functions supporting the programs.
• Prepare documentation and present updates to senior leadership.
• Develop and implement material strategies that support multi‑year production plans in collaboration with PMO, CGO, and program supply chain teams.
• Participate in supplier engagements and reviews to monitor performance and drive improvement.
• Travel to key suppliers to support program activities such as (but not limited to): Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR), Technical Interchange meetings (TIM), Manufacturing Readiness Assessments (MRA), etc.
• Identify supply gaps and define strategies to close them.
• Develop and execute risk and opportunity plans that support program objectives.
• Encourage Supplier Management Best Practices, including risk mitigation and subcontract management plans.
• Track supplier delivery forecasts and related sales for reporting to OSC and program leadership.

Requirements

• Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
• Supply Chain experience.
• Experience in ERP systems.
• Experience in Program & Cross‑Functional Coordination
• Experience in supply chain and aerospace or defense industry.
• Financial acumen and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) certification.
• Experience leading or participating in cross-functional teams.

• This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.

• The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
