- Labcorp is seeking a Manager, Business Operations, to join our team at Yeshwantpur in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
Responsibilities
- The Manager oversees and is responsible for the management and supervision of the team to ensure successful implementation of global strategy, structures, processes, and metrics in order to deliver outstanding customer satisfaction.
- The individual should possess knowledge of regulatory requirements, LabCorp CTTS business practices and processes, process improvement, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills are demonstrated, as well as being organized and having attention to detail. Support and expertise in providing and achieving regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction by educating, analyzing, and facilitating improvements.
- Supervises day-to-day production and non-production activities of the local departmental employees
- Assigns appropriately trained personnel and ensures a sufficient number of staff are available to complete the workload
- Has the ability to lead project initiatives and manage multiple projects as well as multiple teams of people. Has the ability and operational knowledge to successfully meet with senior operational leaders and stakeholders to close out questions or processes that require their approval
- Communicate corporate vision and plans to create a common vision. Share pertinent information from management committee meetings with team
- Individual is responsible for maintaining his/her complete up-to-date training file. The individual is responsible for ensuring he/she is trained and training is documented prior to performing a task. The individual is accountable for any deficiencies found in his/her training file
- Participate in Customer Audits when required
- Provide monthly report to Supervisor
- Other duties as assigned
- Schedules department personnel appropriately to match the demands of the daily workflow within the supervised area
- Provides direct supervision to employees, including assignments, technical and behavioral performance counseling
- Proficient at managing multiple disciplines, while consistently demonstrating the ability to lead teams in meetings, writing agendas, assigning action items, keeping staff accountable, capturing minutes, and providing guidance and leadership to staff
- Identifies process improvement opportunities that will help to reduce operating costs and improve efficiency and provides leadership in implementing change
- Follow budget and supervise area to budgetary guidelines
- Outline scope of projects and resources involving staff or CTTS in general. Monitor progress of projects and coach resources in CTTS
- Ensure the direction and monitoring of tools and coordinate interactions with other stakeholders and vendors
- Ensure that staff maintain global integrity of the tools
- Reports performance and results against targets and global standards
- Ensures regulatory compliance within his/her supervision
- Participates in and supports client visits, audits and inquiries, as necessary, to ensure complete fulfillment of requests and interests
- Delegates the research on customer or internal inquiries as appropriate. Interface with customers and guide others in handling customer interactions effectively
- Identifies process improvement opportunities that will help to reduce operating costs and improve efficiency and provides leadership in implementing change
- Recruits, trains, and contributes to retention efforts of employees
- Conducts technical training and development of staff as needed
- Supports the BU head in assessing and meeting the resource needs
- Supports the development of plans to meet future resource needs
- Evaluates the performance of employees
- Works with the BU head to establish training plans for the supervised staff
- Supports employee evaluations and development plans
- Responsible for employee development; define meaningful goals that strengthen skill sets of direct reports; it is also expected that poor performance will be documented and communicated in a timely manner, preferably as soon as possible. Supervisors will then work with staff to ensure evaluations are completed as required by corporate timelines
- Develop subordinates. Conduct career planning, assist in securing training opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in life science
- Minimum of 10 years’ relevant industry experience
- Minimum of 8 years of management experience
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills
- Strong planning, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills; excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
