Job description

• The IT Procurement Specialist provides analytical, project and process support across the IT and wider Procurement function, helping to improve performance, decision-making and delivery against key objectives. The role supports IT procurement programmes, IT category planning, supplier and market analysis, reporting, communications and governance, while identifying opportunities to improve processes, strengthen procurement capability and deliver greater value across Unilode.

• Support and, where appropriate, lead procurement projects by structuring stakeholder sessions, coordinating activities and managing timelines.
• Provide analysis to support companywide programmes on behalf of Procurement.
• Consolidate technical, operational and commercial information to support ULD Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) measurement and analysis.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks or delays and ensure appropriate follow-up with stakeholders.

• Analyse and provide data to support sourcing and category planning across the IT Procurement function.
• Support prioritisation of sourcing activity and alignment of IT Procurement resources against business requirements.
• Provide analytical support to budgeting, forecasting and procurement planning activities.
• Track delivery against IT category and Procurement targets and provide regular key supplier performance updates.
• Identify trends and opportunities that support improved commercial and operational decision making.

• Provide supplier and market intelligence to support IT category and sourcing decisions.
• Conduct supplier, supply market, financial and risk analysis using consistent and agreed methodologies.
• Research market developments, supplier capabilities and commercial trends relevant to Procurement requirements.
• Analyse supplier information to highlight potential risks, opportunities and areas requiring further review.
• Support sourcing teams with data and insight for supplier evaluation and commercial discussions.

• Support Procurement communications across the wider organisation to increase understanding of Procurement priorities, objectives and achievements.
• Develop clear and effective communications for internal stakeholders and the supplier community.
• Maintain relevant Procurement communication channels, materials and information.
• Support presentation and communication of Procurement performance, initiatives and improvement programmes.
• Build effective working relationships across internal functions and with external suppliers.

• Support the development, maintenance and review of IT Procurement policies, standards, procedures and supporting documentation.
• Aligned with the IT team, identify, evaluate and propose solutions to meet the IT roadmap.
• Run rigorous sourcing projects ensuring best fit to roadmap, value for money and minimum risk.
• Contracting with successful suppliers.
• Challenge the existing ways of working and contracts, both with suppliers and with the wider business.
• Utilising the supply side knowledge, aid the Business Development team with customer IT solutions.
• Contract creation and completion with customers for Digital solutions.
• Be the subject matter expert on IT contracting (Supply and customer sides) within the business.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, economics, finance, business or a related discipline preferred.
• Experience within procurement, supply chain, project management or a related analytical environment.
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to interpret technical and commercial information.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong capability in Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability to summarise complex information, facilitate discussions and present findings clearly.
• Strong planning, prioritisation and organisational skills with a methodical and process-focused approach.
• Excellent written and verbal English with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work effectively across different cultures, locations and time zones.
• High standards of integrity, professionalism and personal credibility.
• Proactive, collaborative and self-motivated approach with the confidence to seek support when required.
• Experience using AI-enabled tools within analytical, reporting or procurement activities would be beneficial
