• As a key member of our team, you'll work directly with patients, physicians, insurance companies, and healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive the medical equipment and supplies they need. Every order you process helps improve someone's quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Process orders for durable medical equipment (DME) and medical supplies
• Verify insurance benefits and obtain prior authorizations
• Communicate with patients, physicians, case managers, and insurance providers
• Maintain accurate electronic patient records and documentation
• Assist with medical billing and insurance-related paperwork
• Deliver outstanding customer service both over the phone and in person
• Work closely with a supportive team to ensure timely, accurate service

Requirements

• Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations
• Medical billing experience (Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Typing speed of at least 45 WPM
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy office
• Two or more years of healthcare, DME, or HME experience
• Medical office experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• 10-key by touch
