Job description
- Under minimum supervision, provide technical support for robot products and applications to key accounts, system integration partners, and internal and external sales channel personnel. May also develop and/or deliver technical training to customers, channel and system integration partners and MEUS-IAD personnel on all Mitsubishi products.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for robot-based products (PLC, Servo, and Motion Control) and applications to sales personnel focusing on key/target accounts. May also develop and/or deliver technical training to customers, distributors and MEUS-IAD personnel on all Mitsubishi products.
- Provide on-site application engineering and product consulting on Robots.
- Serve as the escalated technical resource (subject matter expert [SME]) on robot products and applications.
- Maintain technical documents and documentation on MEUS-IAD products, as assigned.
- Develop technical/application notes where applicable, detailing start-up procedures for new products.
- Maintain current knowledge of new products and applications, through self-study, hands-on testing of demo units, and seminar attendance.
- Provide technical product and solution training to customers, distributors, and MEUS-IAD personnel on Mitsubishi products. Actively identify opportunities for custom training classes.
- Deliver presentations to external organizations or entities.
- Document support case data utilizing CRM.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5 + years of application experience with robot applications and products.
- Experience with Robot, PLC, VFD, HMI, Servo, Motion Control, CNC and Control Networks and other industrial automation applications.
- Ability to develop and maintain in-depth, up-to-date technical knowledge, including the latest MEUS-IAD products, and to serve as escalated technical resource (subject matter expert [SME]).
- Technical writing skills.
- Ability to operate effectively as part of a team.
- Professional, patient, positive, confident communication style and attitude.
- Ability to write and perform technical product and solution training for groups.
- Organization skills, i.e. for documents, demos, work area, and time management.
- Strong background with Robots.
- Experience with Robot Programming software and Simulation environments.
- Experience with CAD based application software (AutoCAD).
- Experience with SolidWorks and developing application simulations.
- Additional background in PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, industrial networking and IEC 1131 programming standards is preferred.
- Some experience with PC hardware and software required with specific experience in industrial applications is preferred.
- Ability to discuss customer application requirements on the phone or in person.

Benefits
- The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $111,200/yr and $152,900/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions based on achieving individual performance and/or sales metrics, incentive compensation and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
