Job description

• The BSA Analyst is responsible for assisting with the daily administration, monitoring, and maintenance of the Bank's Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) and OFAC compliance program. The position performs transaction monitoring, account reviews, investigations, documentation, and other compliance-related duties under the direction of the BSA Officer. The position also assists the BSA Officer in maintaining an effective program consistent with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory guidance, and Bank policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Transaction Monitoring & Investigations: Review and analyze AML alerts generated through the AML monitoring software, monthly monitoring reports, daily reports, logs, transaction activity, and other information to identify unusual or potentially suspicious activity. Investigate alerts and identified activity, document findings, clear alerts when appropriate, and escalate activity requiring further review to the BSA Officer.
• SAR Administration: Research and document potentially suspicious activity and assist with the preparation, filing, tracking, and continuing activity review of Suspicious Activity Reports.
• CTR & Currency Monitoring: Review cash activity and related monitoring reports; review CTRs for accuracy and completeness and file required CTRs through the FinCEN BSA E-Filing system.
• CIP/CDD & Customer Risk Reviews: Perform assigned CIP, CDD, beneficial ownership, high risk and moderate risk customer/account reviews and document findings and exceptions.
• OFAC & USA PATRIOT ACT Compliance: Perform OFAC screening and review potential matches or alerts and assist with Section 314(a) responsibilities and other applicable USA PATRIOT Act requirements.
• BSA Program Support: Maintain required BSA/AML records, logs, case files, and supporting documentation. Assist with the development and maintenance of BSA/AML and OFAC forms, procedures, monitoring processes, risk assessments, audits, examinations, and periodic program reviews. Provide back-up coverage as needed for all BSA AML related tasks.
• Training & Regulatory Knowledge: Maintain current knowledge of applicable BSA/AML and OFAC laws, regulations, regulatory guidance, and Bank policies and procedures and participate in required ongoing training.
• Reporting & Bank Support: Assist with BSA/AML reporting for the BSA Officer, management and Board of Directors and provide BSA related guidance and support to Bank personnel as appropriate.
• Regulatory Awareness: Maintain knowledge of BSA/AML Requirements, regulatory guidance, and emerging financial crime trends.
• Responsible for receiving and processing garnishments and subpoenas.
• Review Reg CC holds for compliance.

Requirements

• College degree, or equivalent banking experience preferred.
• Knowledge of key banking regulations is preferred.
