• Project Manager – EHR Implementation
• Location: Harrisburg, PA (Hybrid)
• Duration: 3+ months
• Seeking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the implementation of a new Electronic Health Record (EHR) solution across multiple healthcare facilities and clinical departments. This role will be responsible for driving the implementation from initiation through go-live, stabilization, and transition to ongoing operations and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing large-scale EHR/EMR and healthcare IT implementations, particularly projects involving a transition from paper-based charting to electronic clinical workflows. The Project Manager will oversee project planning, governance, budget, schedule, risks, vendors, testing, training, Organizational Change Management (OCM), and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end implementation of a new EHR/EMR system across multiple healthcare facilities and clinical teams.
• Manage the transition from paper-based charting and workflows to electronic health records.
• Drive the project from initiation and planning through execution, testing, implementation, go-live, stabilization, and transition to operations and maintenance.
• Develop and maintain the comprehensive Project Management Plan, project schedule, milestones, deliverables, and resource plans.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, resources, dependencies, and priorities.
• Apply established PMI project management methodologies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate activities across application, data warehouse, informatics, networking, security, service management, clinical, and other IT teams.
• Lead project governance activities and ensure appropriate stakeholder approvals and sign-offs.
• Monitor project milestones and take corrective action when schedule, budget, or delivery risks arise.
• Maintain and manage RAID+ logs, including risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies.
• Develop mitigation and contingency strategies and track risks and issues through closure.
• Manage project scope changes according to established change-control procedures.
• Develop and maintain project communication plans and deliverables matrices.
• Communicate project status, risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions to senior leadership.
• Coordinate system testing, UAT, defect resolution, and implementation readiness activities.
• Plan and coordinate go-live, deployment, and post-implementation stabilization activities.
• Support Organizational Change Management (OCM) activities associated with new clinical workflows and technology adoption.
• Coordinate end-user training, orientation, and implementation-readiness activities.
• Maintain strong relationships with clinical stakeholders, customer representatives, IT teams, and vendors.
• Ensure project activities comply with established PMO standards, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

• 7–9 years of relevant Project Management experience, including management of complex technical initiatives.
• Proven experience leading large-scale EHR/EMR implementation projects.
• Experience managing the implementation of a new EHR system and transitioning the solution into ongoing operations and maintenance.
• Experience leading EHR projects involving multiple clinical, business, technical, and vendor stakeholders.
• Experience with healthcare IT, health informatics, and clinical information systems.
• Experience managing projects involving the transition from paper-based charting to electronic workflows.
• Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI held for at least 5 years.
• Strong knowledge of PMI project management processes and methodologies.
• Experience developing and managing project plans, schedules, budgets, estimates, milestones, and deliverables.
• Experience managing technical initiatives involving multiple IT teams and significant technical complexity.
• Strong experience with vendor management and cross-functional team coordination.
• Experience managing project risks and issues using RAID/RAID+ logs.
• Experience with project governance, change control, status reporting, and executive communications.
• Experience coordinating system testing, implementation, and go-live activities.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, facilitation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Organizational Change Management (OCM) for healthcare or enterprise system implementations.
• Experience supporting public health programs or initiatives.
• Experience with business process reengineering and clinical workflow transformation.
• Experience planning and coordinating end-user training and organizational readiness.
• Experience working within a structured enterprise IT PMO environment.
• Experience supporting government or public-sector healthcare technology initiatives.
