• Tommy’s is looking for a Project Manager to support customer-facing roles with a sense of urgency, reliability, and car wash equipment knowledge while executing at the highest level. As a Project Manager you will work closely with the TCWS Sales team to assist in project management as it relates to equipment-only sales. This role requires following standard operating procedures while also allowing the individual to put their own creative spin on processes as they see fit, with a high level of execution, attention to detail, proactivity, and cross-departmental collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage assigned projects from drawing review through equipment startup, serving as the accountable point of contact for all parties including the sales team, GC, trades, architects, and customer.
• Exercise discretion and independent judgment in reviewing sales orders, financial proformas, and change orders to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with contractual and operational standards; own the change order process from initiation through communication to all stakeholders.
• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve equipment documentation, knowledge bases, cutsheets, TCWS deliverables, and internal resources to support consistent execution and decision-making across projects.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Purchasing, Engineering, Fulfillment, Installation, and Startup teams to align project priorities, coordinate resources and schedules, resolve issues, and ensure successful project execution from order inception through site commissioning.
• Other duties as assigned; duties and responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice.
• This role regularly interfaces with general contractors and trade subcontractors — primarily electrical and plumbing — to ensure equipment installations proceed on schedule and within specification. The Project Manager is expected to answer field questions accurately and escalate technical issues as needed in coordination with the TCWS Engineering team.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the GC and electrical contractors on equipment power requirements, panel schedules, and circuit layouts as they relate to items provided by TCWS.
• Coordinate delivery of Guardian controls documentation and wiring diagrams to electrical subcontractors ahead of rough-in.
• Review and communicate TCWS electrical specifications, including voltage (low and high), amperage, and disconnect requirements for tunnel equipment, while leveraging the expertise of the Tommy Engineering team to ensure accurate planning, compliance, and project execution.
• Confirm conduit routing, junction box placement, and panel location align with equipment layout drawings.
• Field first-level questions from electricians regarding equipment power connections, control panel interfaces, and sensor wiring; escalate complex or out-of-spec conditions to TCWS Engineering.
• Track open electrical RFIs and coordinate responses between the GC, electrical sub, and internal engineering/fulfillment teams.
• Verify pre-startup electrical checklist completion prior to equipment commissioning.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the GC and plumbing contractors on water supply, drain, and chemical feed requirements.
• Communicate TCWS plumbing specifications, including water line sizing, pressure requirements, and reclaim system tie-ins.
• Coordinate delivery of plumbing rough-in drawings and equipment room layouts to plumbing subcontractors prior to slab pour or wall framing.
• Confirm floor slope, trench drain dimensions, and vacuum/reclaim pit locations against current equipment layout drawings.
• Note: The Project Manager is not a licensed electrician or plumber and does not provide engineering design services. The role is to communicate documented TCWS specifications, coordinate information flow, and escalate non-standard conditions through proper internal channels.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in project coordination, construction administration, or equipment-based sales support preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction drawings, mechanical/electrical layouts, and equipment specifications.
• Familiarity with commercial electrical and plumbing systems at a coordination level (ability to read plans, communicate specs, and identify scope gaps).
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and standard business software.
• Self-starter capable of working independently while maintaining strong cross-functional relationships.
