• The Senior HR Generalist, PeopleOps plays a critical role as the first point of contact for Silverchairians seeking assistance from the People Operations team. This role serves as a trusted partner across our global, remote-first organization, facilitating culture-enriching people processes and decisions, managing HR systems, supporting compliance, managing total rewards , and leveraging AI-enabled automation tools to streamline workflows and enable self-service where appropriate.

Responsibilities

• HR Business Partnering & Employee Support
• Serve as a trusted resource to Silverchairians, triaging the full range of people-related needs (e.g., benefits, compensation, time logging, PTO administration, etc.) and resolving employee inquiries and issues with professionalism, discretion, compassion, and care.
• Provide feedback and coaching support to Silverchairians and their managers helping to foster a culture of continuous improvement and growth.
• Ensure a positive onboarding experience for all new Silverchairians globally, partnering with the Manager of Talent Acquisition to transition new Silverchairians to their teams with strong and supportive relationships and relevant professional resources.
• Manage employee separations, including conducting exit interviews, overseeing the offboarding process and communications, and ensuring the implementation of separation plan terms where applicable.
• Manage diverse HR-related projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and delivering measurable outcomes.
• Collaborate with People Operations leadership to anticipate future workforce needs and align people strategies with business objectives.
• HRIS & Process Management
• Act as an ADP super user, managing all payroll, pre-boarding, onboarding, and HR system-related activities, including updates and configurations for performance reviews, goal setting, and reporting.
• Maintain HRIS data integrity in both ADP and our employer of record portal; produce accurate and timely reporting that supports HR and business leadership decision-making.
• Total Rewards
• Process semi-monthly payroll for all US-based employees through ADP, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with federal and state regulations. Serve as the primary ADP relationship manager.
• Process monthly payroll for non-US employees through Silverchair’s employer of record.
• Review and approve contractor pay submissions, coordinating with finance to ensure timely and accurate processing each pay period.
• Serve as the primary internal administrator for US employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans — managing enrollments, changes, and terminations across benefit carriers.
• Own the open enrollment process end-to-end, including system configuration, employee communications, and post-enrollment audits.
• Administer Silverchair's time-off programs, maintaining accurate records, supporting manager and employee questions, and ensuring policies are applied consistently across the organization.
• Manage leave of absence programs, including FMLA, state-mandated leave, short-term disability, and personal leaves — serving as the point of contact for employees and managers throughout the process and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. Manage leave of absence programs globally with support from Silverchair’s employer of record.
• Stay current on changes to federal and state leave and benefits laws, proactively communicating updates and adjusting programs and processes as needed.
• Partner with finance on payroll reconciliation, benefits invoicing, and reporting to support accurate and timely financial close processes.
• Global Workforce & Employer of Record Management
• Serve as Silverchair's primary point of contact for our employer of record (EOR) partner , managing the day-to-day relationship and ensuring responsive, accurate service for our international employee population.
• Oversee the full international employee lifecycle through the EOR, including contract creation and management, pre-boarding, onboarding, offboarding, and all associated documentation and communications.
• Manage pay changes for international employees — including salary adjustments, promotions, and off-cycle changes — coordinating with the EOR to ensure accurate and timely processing in accordance with local country requirements.
• Administer international leave programs through the EOR, ensuring Silverchair's practices align with country-specific statutory leave entitlements and that employees and managers receive clear, accurate guidance.
• Manage time-off tracking for international employees in Zoho, maintaining accurate records and ensuring alignment between Zoho data and EOR platform records.
• Maintain data integrity across the EOR platform and Zoho, conducting regular audits to identify and resolve discrepancies and ensure employee records are current and complete across all platforms.
• Manage system updates in the EOR platform and Zoho, including configuration changes, reporting setup, and process improvements, keeping systems optimized for the team's operational needs.
• Stay current on international employment regulations and EOR best practices across the countries where Silverchair operates, proactively identifying compliance considerations and coordinating with the EOR and internal legal counsel as needed.
• Partner with finance on international payroll reporting and reconciliation, ensuring accurate month-end and year-end data across all six EOR-supported countries.
• Performance Management & Goal Setting
• Support Silverchair’s quarterly performance review process, which is administered through ADP.
• Support managers and employees with goal-setting activities, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
• Partner with the Director, PeopleOps on developing and executing a High Potential identification and development process across the company.
• Employee Engagement & Surveys
• Assist in the execution of Silverchair's employee engagement strategy. Serve as a culture champion, modeling the Silverchair values and looking for opportunities to amplify the intrinsic rewards of working at Silverchair.
• Support the design, deployment, reporting, and analysis of staff surveys, including the annual Organizational Health Survey, pulse surveys, and team-based feedback.
• Support the evolution of the Silverchair Advisory (Ag) Group to engage and gather intentional insights about the Silverchairian experience across all geographies and teams.
• Analytics & Reporting
• Leverage data and insights to recommend improvements to people programs and processes, connecting analysis to decision-making across the organization.
• Incorporate AI tools such as Claude into HR workflows to increase efficiency and the quality of work product, with an understanding of how to use these tools responsibly in a people-focused context.
• Confluence & Internal Communications
• Maintain and optimize PeopleOps Confluence pages, ensuring accuracy, organization, and usability for all Silverchairians.
• Coordinate with the Marketing team to create and deliver the bi-weekly Silverchair Digest in collaboration with content owners.
• Compliance & Policy Management
• Support compliance with federal and state HR regulations, including maintaining up-to-date regulatory postings
• Conduct audits of HR programs and processes, recommending corrective actions as needed to ensure optimization and compliance.
• Manage Silverchair's EEO compliance through required training strategy, execution, and reporting.
• Partner with Manager, Talent Acquisition on market compensation data gathering and analysis

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or Manager at a small to medium-sized global technology company, including experience supporting operations in a remote-first environment across multiple countries and time zones.
• Proven ability to serve as a trusted HR resource, with demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and relationship-building skills at all levels of an organization.
• Hands-on experience with ADP (this is a requirement); ClearCompany experience is a meaningful plus.
• Experience managing multi-state payroll processes
• Benefits administration experience, managing enrollments, updates, reporting, audits, vendor relationships
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines effectively.
• Expertise in performance coaching and feedback, with experience guiding employees through meaningful development conversations.
• Change management skills and experience supporting both day-to-day transitions and large-scale organizational initiatives.
• Cross-cultural competency and demonstrated comfort working across multiple cultures, regions, and time zones.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder HR projects from planning through completion.
• Experience using HR analytics to inform decision-making and improve people programs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees and leaders at all levels.
• HR certifications are a strong plus.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools, including Claude, to streamline HR workflows, draft and refine communications, synthesize information, and improve the efficiency of people programs — while applying sound judgment about when human expertise and discretion are essential.
