Job description

• The OPEX role is critical to sustaining site-wide productivity, cost performance, and compliance. Without this position, key continuous improvement initiatives—including Lean deployment, problem-solving facilitation, KPI governance, and cost-reduction projects—will slow down or stall, directly impacting our operational efficiency and delivery performance.
• This role is essential to maintain momentum on our 3-year OPEX roadmap, support ongoing DMAIC/Kaizen activities across all operating units, and ensure the site meets its strategic cost, quality, and productivity targets.

Responsibilities

• Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
• Plans, performs and implements process improvement initiatives (such as Lean or Six Sigma).
• Diagrams and evaluates existing processes.
• Organizes, leads and facilitates cross-functional project teams.
• Develops metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities.
• Collects data to identify root cause of problems.
• Measures performance against process requirements.
• Aligns improvement to performance shortfalls.
• Provides consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality.
• May deliver presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement and control.
• Surveys and analyzes best practices for techniques and processes.
• Communicates team progress.
• Performs cost and benefit analyses.

• Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires practical knowledge and demonstrated competence within job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
• Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience.
