Job description

• We are currently seeking a Municipal Engineering Project Manager to join either our Water Wastewater or Linear Municipal Infrastructure team. Our team specializes in the strategy and technical execution of water, wastewater, and municipal infrastructure projects that shape our communities.
• This is a new position and is based at our London, Windsor, or Kitchener office. We offer flexible work hours and hybrid work arrangement options to help balance the competing demands of work and personal life.

Responsibilities

• Project Management and Design
• Lead the strategy and drive the execution of high-value engineering solutions that position our firm as the premier technical partner for complex projects.
• Diversify by collaborating with internal experts across environmental science, planning, and management to deliver holistic solutions that go beyond standard engineering.
• Project manage and deliver preliminary and detailed designs for municipal and industrial infrastructure projects related to treatment facilities and pumping stations.
• Coordinate design team activities, direction to project team members including junior engineers and technical support staff, and ongoing support to client relationship managers.
• Liaise with public and private sector clients, government review and approval agencies, sub-consultants and subcontractors.
• Liaison with multidisciplinary project teams (including transportation, municipal and structural engineers, transportation systems planners, planners, environmental scientists and technical support staff).
• We empower our teams to automate the routine so they can focus on high-value, creative problem-solving. You will be encouraged to experiment with AI-enabled tools to push the boundaries of traditional design.

• Travel to other Dillon offices as needed to support collaboration, share knowledge, and drive growth across the firm.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice as a professional engineer in your field or eligible to register.
• A degree in civil, environmental or chemical engineering.
• Proven expertise in water wastewater, developed through 10+ years of experience in consulting or related fields, with a track record of technical leadership.
• Proven project management capabilities.
• Demonstrated success in client and business development with private sector accounts. Focus in the manufacturing sector considered an asset.
• Experienced in the assessment and design of treatment processes for small and large-scale water and wastewater treatment facilities.
• Experience with industrial site water and wastewater management is an asset including characterization (water balance, flow and quality), water conservation, water reuse, wastewater segregation, and pollution prevention planning.
• Proficient in the full range of design activities including preparation of functional and detailed design drawings and reports, contract document preparation, tendering, construction administration and commissioning.
• Ability to lead, coach and develop Account Managers.
• Thorough knowledge of relevant Canadian federal and provincial regulations.
• Working knowledge of emerging technologies for water and wastewater treatment.
• Proficient in project proposal preparation and presentations.
• In-depth understanding of business issues associated with consulting engineering and planning.

• $100,000 - $150,000

It will be dependent on the successful applicant’s education, experience, and skills, in addition to internal equity and geographic region.
