Overview
Develop, maintain, and optimize infrastructure-as-code (IaC) for repeatable and secure cloud deployments Build, maintain, and refactor CI/CD pipelines to accelerate feature delivery, minimize risk, and reduce technical debt
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize infrastructure-as-code (IaC) for repeatable and secure cloud deployments
- Build, maintain, and refactor CI/CD pipelines to accelerate feature delivery, minimize risk, and reduce technical debt
- Configure and manage observability tools, dashboards, and proactive alerting to detect and resolve issues
- Respond to production issues, perform root cause analysis, and contribute to incident postmortems
- Collaborate with development teams to align infrastructure design with application requirements
- Document technical designs, runbooks, and standard operating procedures to ensure team alignment
- Participate in sprint planning and advocate for automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency
- Design, provision, and maintain core cloud network topologies and troubleshoot connectivity across multi-environment setups
- Enhance secrets management, access controls, and audit IAM roles/policies for least-privilege access in collaboration with security engineers
- Improve visibility into cloud resource utilization and cost to support budget-aware engineering decisions
Requirements
- Core Technical Experience: 5+ years of professional engineering experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering, with a track record of identifying automation gaps, recommending IaC improvements, and troubleshooting multi-environment or hybrid setups.
- Cloud Infrastructure & IaC: Proficiency in modern IaC and orchestration tools (e.g., Terraform, Kubernetes, Ansible, CloudFormation), with experience managing core cloud network topologies.
- CI/CD & Automation Proficiency: Solid experience with CI/CD systems (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD) and strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for automating routine tasks and reducing manual toil.
- Observability & Reliability: Hands-on experience with industry-standard observability tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Datadog, Grafana) to develop proactive alerts, metrics, and dashboards.
- Security & Compliance: Experience managing secrets and access using tools like AWS Secrets Manager, Vault, or SSM, with a strong understanding of cloud IAM roles and least-privilege enforcement.
- Technical Communication & Collaboration: Clear communication of infrastructure requirements, risks, and opportunities, with a proven ability to partner effectively with developers and IT to support secure, reliable delivery pipelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, systems engineering, or a related technical field.
