Social Media Manager - 12m FTC at Man Group in London

Job description

• We are looking for a Social Media Manager to shape the social media estate and lead the social strategy across Man Group’s channels (predominantly LinkedIn). Someone who combines a passion for social media with a solid knowledge of the opportunities it offers a large, international organisation. Reporting to the Head of Content, the successful candidate will work with content writers, multimedia and design specialists to develop engaging content for Man Group’s organic, paid, advocacy and influencer channels. They will also work closely with the regional marketing leads to deliver social media paid promotions as part of the overall campaign strategy. The candidate will work closely with multiple points of contact across the business, including the Communications team and the People team.
• The ideal candidate should have 5 yrs experience of Social media strategy and execution, preferably from the Asset Management industry.
• Note: This is a 12-month fixed term contract.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute a results-driven social media strategy, aligned to corporate, global marketing and sales objectives.
• Define strategy of new social media channels and accounts.
• Develop and curate engaging content for social media platforms.
• Assist and coordinate the creation and editing of written, video, and photo content for social media.
• Attend events and produce live social media content.
• Maintain a unified brand voice across different social media channels.
• Collaborate with the broader marketing team to maintain a social media calendar.
• Monitor and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments.
• Review analytics and create reports on key metrics.
• Assist in the development and management of social media advocacy and influencer marketing strategy.
• Monitor social media channels for industry and platform trends of relevance to Man Group.
• Manage/Mentor a Social media analyst who will support the Social Media Manager in day-to-day tasks

Requirements

• Passion for social media and proficiency with major social media platforms and social media management tools such as Hootsuite
• Solid experience in social media strategy development and activation
• Data-driven, analytical mindset, demonstrated knowledge in social media metrics, reporting and analytics
• Experience of managing social media agencies and partners
• Proficiency with video and photo editing tools, digital media formats, and HTML
• Ability to understand historical, current, and future trends in the digital content and social media space
• Experience of asset management and investment concepts
• Experience of working in an international organisation and with people across different geographies
• Strong copywriting and copy editing skills
• Top-notch oral and verbal communication skills
• Detail-orientated approach with ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
