• The central AI marketing team is the hub for AI launches, bringing technology to early adopters, and this role plays a pivotal part in responsibly bringing our technical leadership story to market.
• In this role, you will become an expert on our generative media models and how we bring them to market across critical products. You are resourceful and highly adept at working cross-functionally to get things done, and should be comfortable working with both technical product partners as well as marketing disciplines like social managers, etc. You will recognize that the scale and scope of these launches beget great responsibility and thoughtfulness for our users – from super fans to researchers. Success in this role requires a deep passion for AI, both understanding the everyday helpfulness and the under-the-hood tech that makes these features possible.

Responsibilities

• Build the GTM and strategy for model launches, including how it extends cross-product areas (xPA), working with PMM, PM, engineering, and xPA teams, and functional teams across media, insights, partnerships, digital/social, and creative agencies (internal and external).
• Drive education and coordination across channel owners and cross-functional (XFN) teams to land launches and our evergreen model story; drive production and delivery of programs.
• Monitor your pulse on the AI conversation on social amongst AI super fans, developers, enterprises, and community leaders to drive engagement and ideation of opportunities for Google to join the conversation (e.g., sponsorship ideas, events, etc.).
• Collaborate as part of a team that is breaking down generative media models from Google DeepMind and distilling the capabilities into marketing briefs and proof points to externalize; testing and learn through experimentation of early tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience working on core product marketing or communications.
• Experience in developing and executing go-to-market or campaign strategies that are rooted in digital activations.
• Experience in program management or project management.
• Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
• Experience driving campaigns/activation strategies where the objective was earned conversation or community engagement.
• Ability to develop and drive strategy grounded in data that can create meaningful and actionable insights.
• Ability to work across teams, build relationships, collaborate with executive leaders, and influence across all levels, functions, and geographies; skilled written and verbal communicator.
• Passion for AI and its capabilities; ability to take initiative with an interest in experimental AI and leaps in technology and using AI tools fluently.
• Outstanding creative judgment, and comfortable guiding creative development and activations with external agency partners and internal Google teams.
