Job description
- At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.
- This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.
- At GoDaddy, we believe better workforce decisions start with trusted data. We're growing our People Analytics capabilities and looking for a People Business Intelligence Analyst to help us build clear, reliable reporting that supports our People team and business leaders.
- Are you someone who enjoys finding patterns in complex datasets and transforming information into meaningful stories? Do you like solving challenges that directly influence how organisations hire, develop, and support employees?
- You'll own the data mapping work that connects source systems (HRIS, ATS, payroll, engagement surveys, etc.) into our Redshift warehouse, and build the dashboards, reports, and AI solutions that people leaders, HRBPs, and executives actually use to make decisions!
- Working with HR systems, analytics platforms, and AI-powered tools, this role helps us understand workforce trends, improve reporting, and maintain trusted data across the employee lifecycle. We are committed to creating an inclusive hiring process and will provide reasonable accommodations for candidates who need additional support. We'd love to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Map and document data flows from HR source systems into Redshift, including field definitions, lineage, and business logic (e.g., how "headcount," "attrition," or "time-to-fill" are calculated). Maintain a data dictionary and metric glossary to ensure definitions remain consistent across teams and dashboards
- Build and maintain dashboards in QuickSight and Power BI covering key people metrics including headcount, turnover, hiring funnel performance, DEI representation, engagement, compensation equity, and span of control
- Write and optimise SQL queries in Redshift to support recurring reporting, ad hoc analysis, and leadership reporting needs
- Partner with HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, and People leadership to understand business questions and translate them into meaningful data models, analysis, and visualisations. Ensure sensitive HR data is handled in line with privacy and access-control policies (PII, comp data, protected classes)
- Identify and resolve data quality issues at the source or within the mapping layer, including duplicate records, inconsistent coding structures, and broken joins across systems. Support recurring reporting cycles including monthly headcount reviews, quarterly board reporting, annual compensation reviews, and ad hoc requests from leadership
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, Data Visualisation, or a related field, along with a Bachelor's degree in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a similar field
- Strong SQL skills and experience writing, troubleshooting, and optimising queries against a cloud data warehouse such as Amazon Redshift
- Advanced expertise building and maintaining dashboards in Amazon QuickSight, Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence platforms
- Experience with data mapping and ETL concepts, including understanding how data moves from source systems into data lakes and warehouses, identifying where issues can occur, and resolving them effectively
- Willingness to work United States East Coast hours (UTC -4 / UTC -5)
- 3+ years of experience in People Analytics, Recruiting Analytics, HR data, or other highly regulated and governance-driven data environments
- Exposure to HRIS platforms such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP, BambooHR, and ATS platforms such as Greenhouse or Lever. Experience working with people metrics frameworks, including SHRM and ANSI HR metrics standards
- Familiarity with AWS data lake technologies including S3, Glue, Athena, and Redshift. Basic Python or R proficiency for data cleaning, automation, and analysis
