Product Pricing Specialist - Marketing at internal in US-FL-Tampa

Responsibilities

• The Product Pricing Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate, competitive, and compliant product pricing across multiple sales platforms and internal systems. This position will manage pricing updates, perform competitive price checks, review pricing compliance, identify discontinued products, and flag new products that require entry into our master product catalog, and customer portals.
• The Product Pricing Specialist will work closely with manufacturers, distributors, sales, marketing, purchasing, and eCommerce teams to ensure product pricing and availability information remains accurate and current.
• Update product pricing and availability across multiple internal and external platforms
• Maintain accurate MSRP, MAP, advertised price, dealer cost, promotional pricing, and other pricing fields
• Perform regular competitive price checks across designated competitor websites and marketplaces
• Compare competitor pricing and identify significant pricing differences or market changes
• Review product pricing for compliance with manufacturer MAP policies and internal pricing requirements
• Identify and report pricing errors, missing costs, outdated prices, and margin concerns
• Review manufacturer and distributor price files, cost sheets, and pricing notifications
• Track pricing effective dates and ensure pricing changes are completed within required timeframes
• Identify discontinued, end-of-life, and unavailable products
• Update product statuses, including new, active, discontinued, backordered, and unavailable
• Identify new products within manufacturer or distributor files and flag them for product entry
• Gather pricing data and product information from manufacturers, distributors, and approved third-party sources
• Assist with promotional pricing, manufacturer rebates, special pricing programs, and bid pricing
• Prepare pricing reports and communicate pricing issues to the appropriate teams
• Maintain organized records of pricing changes, approvals, source files, and effective dates
• Assist with product data entry and catalog maintenance as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Two to three years of pricing, data entry, product management, eCommerce, purchasing, or related experience preferred
• Experience working with large product catalogs, PIM systems, or pricing files preferred
• Strong Excel skills, including experience working with large spreadsheets, formulas, filters, sorting, lookups, and data comparison
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify pricing discrepancies
• Ability to accurately manage large amounts of product and pricing data
• Understanding of MSRP, MAP, dealer cost, margin, promotional pricing, and competitive pricing preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to prioritize pricing updates based on urgency and effective dates
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently
• Ability to learn and master new systems, platforms, and internal tools
• Ability to follow established pricing procedures and compliance requirements
• Team player who works effectively with cross-functional teams
• Experience with eCommerce platforms, product information management systems, ERP systems, or marketplace feeds preferred
