• Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Specialist & Receptionist Supervisor to support hospital billing, accurate coding, patient billing inquiries, and the daily operations of our reception team. This position will oversee a small team of receptionists, coordinate scheduling, support value-based care initiatives, and help ensure efficient, high-quality patient service. May assist with normal receptionist duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Know and follow all HIPAA rules and guidelines. Follows all Local, State, Federal laws and
• requirements Willing and able to cross-train on multiple desks with different responsibilities on each Able to stay on task to completion Maintain tidy, organized, clean, sanitized office Participate in day-end office cleaning and sanitizing.
• Hospital Billing & Coding Assist with hospital billing, including reviewing charges for accuracy and completeness. Ensure proper coding and identify and correct billing errors. Submit hospital charges in a timely and accurate manner. Answer patient questions and respond to messages regarding hospital billing, charges, and billing concerns.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and communicate with appropriate departments as needed. Maintain accurate billing records and follow established billing procedures. Reception Supervision Supervise and support a small team of receptionists.
• Create and maintain receptionist schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient office operations. Provide training, guidance, and ongoing support to reception staff. Monitor daily workflow and help resolve scheduling, patient service, and operational concerns. Promote teamwork, professionalism, and excellent customer service.
• Assist with performance feedback and accountability as needed.

Requirements

• Qualifications: Previous experience in medical billing, hospital billing, or healthcare administration preferred. Knowledge of medical coding, billing procedures, and charge submission. Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Ability to handle confidential patient information professionally. Proficiency with electronic medical records and billing systems. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and collaborate effectively with providers and staff.
