Job description
- Legacy Supply Chain is hiring a Business Development Manager for our growing Global and Domestic Transportation Division. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities for our North American Freight Brokerage and International Freight Forwarding Divisions. This position includes a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match.

- No limitations and no territories searching for new opportunities and building your book of business
- Provide the opportunity to gain experience in domestic and international brokerage, imports and exports, and all modes of transportation solutions – air and ocean, drayage, final mile, intermodal, LTL, FTL, etc.
- Equip you with the tools to be successful in the full sales cycle, including Zoom Info
- Provide support from operations team so that you will not be responsible for cradle-to-grave cycle
Responsibilities
- Coordinate shipments between customers and carriers
- Pursue new sales opportunities through research, analysis, and discovery
- Build new relationships, maintain, and grow existing relationships with clients
- Develop optimal routing and pricing solutions using multiple Rate Management Systems
- Be the first point of contact for the clients and ensure their service expectations are met
- Manage the day-to-day clients’ freight movements in collaboration with Operations
- Actively participate in sales meetings and reporting on sales goals, forecasting, and wins
- Analyze industry news and market trends
Requirements
- At least 3 years of Transportation Brokerage Experience
- At least 3 years of New Business Development Experience
- Energetic, relentless, and thriving on hunting for opportunities
- Strong sales negotiation and closing skills
- Constructive problem solver
- Proficient in Outlook; intermediate in Excel and Word
- Knowledge of Salesforce CRM is an asset
