• Supervises and coordinates activities of production workers and workers engaged in packaging drug product and materials for storage or shipment by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities

• The following is a list of minimum responsibilities related to the Production Supervisor position. Other duties may also be assigned.
• Study production orders to ascertain type and quantity of product and other packaging requirements.
• Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
• Interprets specifications and job orders to workers and assigns duties.
• Observe packaging operations.
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
• Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems.
• Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
• Maintain time and production records.
• Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.

• Directly supervises 20 to 60 employees in the Production Department. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
