- Job Title: Electrical Engineer Expert (8-12 yrs)
- Work Location: DFW, Texas (Onsite)
- The primary responsibilities include designing, developing, and testing electrical components, equipment, and systems for small robots and other ground-based vehicles according to customer requirements. Applies mathematical and engineering principles and methods to electrical system designs. Conducts research to produce design solutions, improvements, and new products. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures to junior engineer. Reports to a manager and works with Tech Lead. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. Work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group.
Responsibilities
- Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
- Designs, tests, and determines fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and determines methods, procedures, and conditions for testing products.
- Develops applications of controls, instruments, and systems for new commercial, domestic, and industrial uses.
- Ensures that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.
- Coordinates operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations.
- Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
- Maintains regular study habits by frequently reviewing emerging technologies that improve the design, development, and testing of software programming and applications and applies technologies learned
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 7+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in EDA tools
- Proficient skills with analog/digital circuit design.
- Lead DFMEA process.
- Proficient in functional safety analysis.
- Has good communication skills.
- Good team member.
- Has some leadership skills
