Job description

• Join a dynamic team that oversees business management and operations, rhythm of business (ROB), forecasting, and planning across various domains, ensuring that engineering and product teams build products to the highest standards.
• The main function of this role is to maintain vendor relationships, act as a business analyst for non-IT projects, or fill organizational roles above an administrative level but below a management level. Responsibilities may include maintaining all project management processes, including project goals, deadlines, metrics, and budget. This role usually reports to a project manager or director.

Responsibilities

• Own budget and forecasting activities, day-to-day ROB work, executive communications, internal communications, preparation for town halls, reporting, and orchestration of the overall budget.
• Draft communications such as LinkedIn posts and internal/all-company emails.
• Establish and maintain communication services across business units or from the project team to the organization.
• Maintain the storage and retrieval of all project communications data and business metrics.
• Review contracts, cost proposals, and contract supplements.
• Set up project and work breakdown structures.
• Establish and document business processes.
• Track project budgets and expenditures, monitor transaction controls, and costs against budgets.
• Predict potential budget overruns and offer solutions.

Requirements

• Experience in a Business Management or Chief of Staff-type role.
• Rhythm of Business (ROB) management experience at the VP or CVP level.
• Experience directly supporting a CVP.
• Strong budget management experience, including forecasting and variance reporting.
• Strong internal/executive communication skills.
• Ability to influence and manage stakeholders across the business.
• Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
• Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
• Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed.
• Ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.
• Previous experience with computer applications, such as Word and Excel; Enterprise Application experience is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in business management, economics, finance, accounting, or a relevant field required.
• 10 years of experience required.
• 5 years managing budgets of multiple millions.
• 5 years of executive or corporate communications with a focus on storytelling.
• 5 years of stakeholder management.
