- We are recruiting on behalf of a leading technology organization seeking a Senior Azure AI Software Engineer to design and deliver enterprise-grade cloud and AI solutions within a commercial insurance environment.
- This role is ideal for an experienced software engineer with strong expertise in Azure AI services, C#/.NET development, and cloud infrastructure who enjoys building scalable, production-grade systems.
- You will design, build, and deploy cloud-native applications and AI-driven solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies. The position involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance systems in a regulated enterprise environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend services and APIs using C# and .NET
- Build and integrate solutions using Azure AI services including Azure OpenAI and related services
- Develop scalable cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure
- Design and manage RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
- Implement infrastructure automation using Infrastructure-as-Code tools
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to deliver production-ready systems
- Ensure performance, security, and reliability of applications deployed in Azure
- Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for software quality
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience
- 7+ years of experience working in the Commercial Insurance domain
- Azure AI services (Azure OpenAI or similar)
- C# and .NET
- API design and backend development
- Microsoft Azure cloud services
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Bicep, ARM, or Terraform
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture and distributed systems
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to work onsite in Hartford, CT
- Experience working in agile environments or scaled agile frameworks
- Experience with Angular or modern frontend frameworks
- Experience with SQL or relational databases
- Property & Casualty insurance experience is a plus
