Responsibilities
- Description of specific duties in a typical workday for this position:
- The Financial / Budget Analyst provides financial management, budget execution, and fiscal analysis support to ensure program funds are planned, tracked, and reported in compliance with DoD and Army policies.
- Supporting budgets, spend plans, and funding profiles.
- Tracking obligations, expenditures, and burn rates.
- Preparing financial reports and leadership briefings.
- Coordinating funding actions and identifying execution risks.
- Reconciling financial data and supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
- Supporting financial reviews, audits, and data calls.
- Coordinating with program managers, acquisition personnel, and contracting offices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- At least three years of relevant experience.
- Recent financial or budget management experience.
- Ability to work independently and begin supporting the program immediately.
- Availability to work 20–25 hours per week on a structured schedule.
- Active Secret Clearance
- Experience supporting DoD or Army programs.
- Familiarity with DoD financial management processes and timelines.
- Experience coordinating program or acquisition funding.
- DAU coursework or certifications in Financial Management or Program Management.
