Responsibilities
- Assist with payroll, contract billing, follow-up, and registration processes
- Support billing activities for offsite laboratory contracts and clinical research programs
- Prepare itemized bills and assist billers with reconciling accounts to UB-04s
- Coordinate cosmetic procedure scheduling and payment requirements using IQUEUE, communicating with Pre-Registration and physician offices.
- Provide self-pay pricing information to patients and physician offices.
- Scan and upload insurance correspondence into patient accounts for billing staff
- Process stay-type changes and Medicare shadow claims
- Asssist Patient Accounts with DRG quotes and self-pay requests
- Verify charges and invoices for designated physician and workers' compensation services
- Order and maintain Business Office supplies, coordinate postage, and PO Box payments
- Maintain conference room scheduling and provide adminstrative support for Revenue Cycle meetings, including meeting minutes
- Assist billers and Business Office leadership with special projects and other administrative functions
- Assist with facility-wide events and activies as needed
Requirements
- We are a drug free facility. Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of administrative, clerical, office, or customer service experience preferred. Healthcare or hospital business office experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Professional demeanor and ability to communicate effectively with employees and leaders at all levels.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement.
