- With a background in end-to-end application management experience, you are passionate about building critical applications as part of a pipeline that impacts millions of customers. As someone who is detail focused and loves solving challenges, you will design, code, test and deploy complex enterprise level Microservices-based applications.
- You'll work across modern AWS data technologies including MWAA, Lambda, AWS MSK, Redshift, Iceberg and Snowflake, helping transform complex data into trusted products that support critical business decisions and customer outcomes. You'll collaborate with engineers, product teams and stakeholders to deliver secure, resilient and high-quality data solutions while contributing to the evolution of our cloud data ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Build modern cloud-based data solutions that help detect, monitor and prevent financial crime at scale.
- Influence architecture, engineering standards and technical direction across a rapidly growing platform working with AWS
- Help shape the future of data-driven financial crime reporting and insights used across the bank.
- Design, code, test and deploy complex enterprise level Microservices-based applications.
- Work across modern AWS data technologies including MWAA, Lambda, AWS MSK, Redshift, Iceberg and Snowflake, helping transform complex data into trusted products.
- Collaborate with engineers, product teams and stakeholders to deliver secure, resilient and high-quality data solutions.
- Contribute to triage of production and test environment issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience designing and delivering complex distributed systems at scale
- Strong hands-on software engineering capability and a passion for solving challenging technical problems
- Experience building microservices architectures within cloud-native environments
- Strong architectural and systems design skills
- A track record of mentoring engineers and influencing technical decision-making
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on engineering delivery
- A growth mindset and curiosity for emerging technologies and engineering practices
- Contribute to triage of production and test environment issues.
- Experience with AWS services and cloud-native application development, including AWS Lambda (Python/Node.js), MWAA (Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow), AWS Step Functions, Apache Iceberg tables, and Amazon Redshift.
- Experience building and deploying event-driven services integrated with API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Apache Kafka (or AWS MSK), and messaging services such as SNS and SQS.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, .NET, TypeScript, Go
- Design and development of Microservices (RESTful APIs, Reactive and Batch) based applications
- Experience working across backend, frontend and integration capabilities
- Exposure to AI-powered development or operational tooling
- Being a full cycle engineer, manage the end to delivery cycle including requirement gathering, documentation, design, build, test, and release.
- Engineering Excellence: CI/CD pipelines, Automated testing, Observability and monitoring, DevSecOps practices, Agile software delivery
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes is highly desirable
- Banking domain knowledge is desirable
