Job description
- This hybrid role offers a great balance of home and office working. You’ll join your colleagues in your local office at least two days a week.
- As the UK’s largest independent full fibre network and wholesale platform of choice, we’re busy setting new standards for what digital infrastructure can and should be.
- Our network is greener, more reliable and designed for the future. The products we run over it lead the way on speed, value and service - helping businesses to innovate, communities to thrive, and people to live more connected digital lives.
- At CityFibre, you’ll be part of something bigger, helping to build a better-connected Britain, together.
- Joining us as a People Operations Specialist
- You’ll join our People Operations team at an exciting point in its development, combining hands-on support across the employee lifecycle with a strong focus on improving how we work. As we introduce greater automation and make better use of our People technology, you’ll help simplify processes, improve workflows and create a better experience for employees and managers. We’re looking for someone who is naturally curious, comfortable questioning existing ways of working and keen to turn ideas into practical improvements.
- You’ll receive a competitive salary, a performance related bonus, and a range of benefits to support you across your financial, physical and mental wellbeing.
Responsibilities
- This is some of what you can expect to be doing:
- Owning People Operations activity across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contractual changes, offboarding, employee records and People data
- Providing a responsive and high-quality service to employees and managers, resolving queries and operational issues
- Identifying recurring problems and opportunities to simplify, improve or redesign People processes and workflows
- Using People systems, automation and digital tools to reduce manual activity and improve the employee and manager experience
- Supporting the design, testing and adoption of system improvements and new ways of working
- Working across People, Payroll, Finance and Technology to deliver improvements and ensure processes remain accurate, effective and compliant
Requirements
- You’ll have strong People or HR Operations experience, combined with a genuine continuous improvement mindset and the confidence to challenge how things are currently done. You’ll also have:
- Hands-on experience across employee lifecycle processes and supporting employees and managers
- Experience using HR systems and working with People data, with a strong focus on accuracy and quality
- Evidence of identifying and personally improving, simplifying or redesigning People processes
- An understanding of how workflows, automation and digital tools can improve operational delivery
- Strong problem-solving and stakeholder skills, with the confidence to bring forward ideas and take ownership
- Experience supporting HR systems change, process mapping, testing or automation would be advantageous
