Carrier Sales Representative at Uber Freight in Oakville, ON L6H1A7, Canada

Job description

• As a Carrier Sales Representative, you are a key contributor to Uber Freight's business by generating and maintaining carrier relationships. You will be eligible to earn a monthly bonus, in addition to your base salary, in your first full calendar month and enjoy working in a fast-paced, sales environment. This position will be at our Oakville, ON office location, work schedule will be Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with a hybrid work schedule after 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Establish relationships, negotiate, and develop carriers regularly via phone and email in order to develop core and dedicated carriers specific to Uber Freights accounts
• Participate in spot auctions by submitting competitive online pricing and securing capacity for won loads
• Ensure customer satisfaction and high service levels where freight is picked up and delivered on time using safe, reliable carriers
• Meet or exceed team financial and individual performance goals
• Develop knowledge of carrier supply and demand, spot market pricing, and factors that impact freight markets
• Carrier profile management- learn carrier requirements, needs, contacts and update carrier profiles regularly. Be an advocate for the carrier on all levels
• Acquire knowledge of freight network/lanes- know what internal freight lanes we run and find carriers that match these lanes

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a carrier management or carrier sales position or related position.
• High school diploma/GED Equivalent
• 3PL knowledge or prior experience within a 3PL environment/Freight Brokerage
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Prior TMS experience
• Prior Auction/Spot market experience.
• Experience with multiple equipment modes, such as Van, Flatbed, Reefer etc.

Benefits

• Compensation: $62,200 - $82,000 base salary per year, plus eligibility for performance-based bonus.
